You are lucky enough to live in a great apartment on Centennial Park and the location and award winning designs and amenities were some of the reasons you chose The Park, but did you know that Centennial Park has so many options to treat your Dad to a perfect Father’s Day.
This 132 acre park is right outside your window and is the perfect way to spend the day. Visit the iconic Pantheon, not the one in Rome, but there is a replica of the Pantheon in Centennial Park. This exact replica of the original now acts as an Art Museum which is the permanent home to over 63 paintings from 19th and 20th American artists and hosts temporary exhibits throughout the year.
If art isn’t Dad’s thing, take a stroll through the park, hike along the one-mile walking trail or get fit on the exercise trail, visit the duck pond, the sunken garden or Lake Watauga. What a great way to spend Father’s Day.
Pack a picnic, bring the family (don’t forget Fido) and enjoy a sunny Sunday in the park. The best part is if you forget something you only have to cross the street, but while you are there you will feel miles away.
If rock and roll and blues are more your style, you are in luck. On June 19th the San Rafael Band will be playing from 7pm to 9pm in nearby Red Caboose Park in Bellevue. Bring a lawn chair, blanket and picnic basket and be ready to listen to some great rock and blues.
Every Friday Centennial Park in the summer you can enjoy the Big Band Dance series. June 20th will be Debbi Bailes & Her Band. Learn how to dance with group lessons from 7:00 to 7:30 and 8:30 to 8:50. Put on your dancing shoes, bring a blanket and a picnic or enjoy the savory and sweet treats from the Food Tucks.
These are just some ideas for treating your Dad to the perfect Father’s Day near your apartment in Nashville.
